FALCONWAY

FALCONWAY was established in 1989, as a unique appeal to our alumni and friends to raise money in a combined appeal to benefit our two favorite charities - Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc.; and the Oblates of St. Francis deSales. Since its inception the Appeal has raised over 5 million dollars. The drive begins on November 1 and concludes on October 31 of the following year. You can forward your tax deductible contribution to either one or both organizations. Checks should be made payable to FALCONWAY and mailed to P. 0. Box 7005, Philadelphia, PA 19149-0005. Turkey Bowl Beef & Beer

Turkey Bowl Beef & BeerThe Annual Fall gathering of Falcons is held to commemorate our annual clash with the Pioneers of Frankford on Thanksgiving Day. This year the affair was held on November 18 at Chickie's & Pete's.
A great time was had reminiscing about past victories over Frankford.  Of course, we had to endure a slaughter of the Eagles by the Redskins.     Print registration form.

Memorial Mass and Communion Breakfast

Memorial Mass and Communion BreakfastAn event that has been on our calendar since we were founded in 1929 is our annual Memorial Mass and Communion Breakfast.  This year, Mass was celebrated at St. Martin of Tours, Roosevelt Boulevard & Sanger St. at 8:30 AM on March 17.  Immediately following Mass we adjourned to Regal Caterers, 5411 Oxford Avenue for breakfast.  Highlight of the morning was the awarding of our Annual Outstanding Achievement Award.  The award was accepted by Dom Giordano, WPHT Radio Talk Show host and he delivered the principal address.  Continuing a tradition established two years ago, we inducted fivet men into the NECHS Hall of Fame.  The categories were Arts/Entertainment/Education - Stanley R. Witalec, '66; Athletics - Laurence L. Sullivan, '66; Business/Labor/Military - Timothy G. O'Shaughnessy, '81; Religion/Science - Rev. Edward M. Dougherty, MM, '67; and Service to NECHS and Community - Stephen A. Cardullo, '72.  Our Outstanding Alumnus Award was presented to Raymond P. Zegarski, '59.  If you would like to nominate an alumnus for an award, you may download the form.   Print registration form.  For further information call us at 215-543-1051 or email infonecath@necathalumni.org.
